Amanda's initial career began in the specialist field of press based recruitment advertising, where she swiftly developed into a Management position building successful regional teams, working for the Birmingham Post and Mail, and the Trinity Mirror Group.
After a strategic move to the newly formed internet recruitment site “Jobsite” in 1996, Amanda became National Account Manager. In this role she specialised in the development of Internet Recruitment Advertising, at a time when the “new media” market was still in its infancy, helping to build the company to the largest online recruitment brand in the UK.
In this challenging role she worked closely with national independent and corporate Recruitment Consultancies throughout the UK, covering all industry sectors including Sales, Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, Medical, Finance, etc.
Recognising her success, she was approached by the Guardian Media Group to focus on building “WorkThing”, a newly created online recruitment website.
In this role she worked on behalf of many blue chip corporate employers, dealing at board and human resources level in advising clients on all aspects of on-line recruitment advertising, from designing and lay-out of company profiles to running training and coaching workshops to ensure staff understood the benefits of online recruitment.
Amanda then moved into the Executive Recruitment market responsible for running a large team of Recruitment Consultants, with particular emphasis on staff training, development and performance levels.
Amanda joined Sprint in 2004 and is now responsible for offering advice and guidance to individuals covering all aspects of online recruitment and selection and has a very pro-active approach in working with individuals and Sprint staff to assist them in keeping at the forefront of new media methods.
