Andrew Murray B.Sc (Hons) Dip. Career Coaching MICG

Andrew has over 20 years experience in the recruitment and selection markets. He has held senior management and board appointments in a number of national Recruitment Consultancies; working in niche sales and technology sectors, with recruitment projects covering appointments from trainee to director level. Over his career he has also been instrumental in the launch, growth and success of 3 specialist UK Recruitment Consultancies.

With a lengthy and progressive career in the recruitment industry Andrew has also held positions at Regional, National and Training Management levels, where he has developed high performing UK recruitment teams with full P and L responsibility. With a particular interest in turning around low performing operations he has also gained vast experience in trouble shooting staffing issues, recruitment, training and management procedures to achieve profitable growth.

Andrew’s experience covers all recruitment methodology; search and selection, contingency recruitment, advertising assignments, retained / PSL assignments and internet resourcing. He has also development and written company training manuals and programmes implemented on a national level through each employer.

He has managed recruitment assignments in the UK and Europe through many sectors of commerce and industry including; engineering and manufacturing, process control, material handling, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, healthcare, oil and gas, automotive, utilities, IT, telecommunications, defence,retail, food and catering, hotel, leisure and tourism industry, consumer goods, public sector / services etc.

Recruitment campaigns for Clients such as Pioneer (GB) Limited, Total Fina Elf, Jobsite (UK) Limited, Karcher Group, Arrow Chemicals, Kuwait Petroleum, Forensic Science Service, Yakult and Atlas Copco are only a very brief example of the diversity of recruitment projects Andrew has handled.

Over his career history he has personally interviewed in excess of 4000 applicants, and has particular expertise in coaching individuals to perform their best through their career search, from initial application through to settling in to a new role.

Andrew established Sprint Outplacement Services to continue this area of career support and to develop a modern company offering relevant, informative and thoroughly evaluated training and career coaching.

Within this role Andrew has built a supportive team and also personally completed a very diverse number of outplacement programmes both one-to-one and workshop based, within sectors such as education, defence, finance, relocation, construction, packaging, engineering and the public sector.

Recent projects have also included the implementation of a number of new career initiatives into areas such as the MoD service leaver sector and relocation spousal career support, alongside the development of a unique online career management resource.

Andrew’s principal aim is to ensure Sprint provides personal career coaching that is clearly evaluated, based on core values and helps individuals to take stock, review their options and gain the necessary practical and emotional support to move through a career transition in a positive and successful manner.
