Joanne Hendrie

Joanne's career started as a Recruitment Consultant over 10 years ago where she progressed from working in a commercial branch recruiting for temporary workers to running major industrial accounts for nationally recognised recruitment companies, namely Pertemps and Randstad

In a desire to strengthen her skills within Human Resource Management, Joanne joined a leading Employment Law and Health and Safety Consultancy in a new role as the Human Resources Manager. Initially, her main focus was the recruitment of the sales force and the service consultants. This quickly extended to the recruitment of the entire Company workforce. Joanne's direct reports grew which enabled her to increase the scope of her role. As a result, she developed and delivered induction programmes, performed training needs analysis, arranged and coordinated training courses and negotiated benefit and salary structures.

Joanne attended Salford University and gained a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources Management and graduate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.

In more recent years Joanne worked as an HR Consultant. She implemented and enhanced human resource systems in small businesses, designed and administered policies and procedures to make companies compliant with UK employment legislation and undertook recruitment and selection campaigns.

In the present day Joanne's work now concentrates on outplacement and career coaching. She has advised many employees of all hierarchical levels (managerial, support staff and shop-floor workers) who are facing redundancy. She has worked predominantly, within the manufacturing and engineering sectors, guiding individuals through one to one sessions focussing specifically on their needs, or through group workshops, covering the whole transition process from deciding on career options to settling into a new role. Joanne is passionate about offering advice and guidance to enable departing employees to feel more positive about a challenging life situation. Joanne's style is friendly and infectious with a real enthusiastic for developing people to perform at their best.
