Steve is an enthusiastic, highly experienced & committed Trainer passionate about making a difference for any client organisation he partners.
Highly experienced in the public sector, Steven was an original member of the initial "Jobsearch" implementation team (the forerunners of Job Clubs) for the Manpower Services Commission, before working as a Principal Trainer for Leeds City Council.
Steve career also includes the role of Business Development Manager (Training & Development) for Manchester Airport, working in their Consultancy department involved in managing the training function for airport employees, as well as being responsible for major training projects for overseas clients in countries such as: Cuba, Bulgaria and Romania (the latter two on behalf of the European Union and the World Bank).
More recently Steve worked in training consultancy, delivering training in the public, private and voluntary sectors. Highlights include:
- Working for Newcastle City Council's Community and Housing Directorate on a major Equalities programme
- Career Transition work for a major Government contract holder
- Providing training for a number of NHS Trusts
- Working with the DWP on Leadership Development, Junior/Middle Management Induction Programmes and Appraisal Skills
- Working with the Ministry of Defence on courses including Selection Interviewing and Communication Skills
- Working on a programme of Equalities courses for Newcastle City Council which received a satisfactory rating of 98%
- Assisting the long term unemployed with job search and personal effectiveness training through a local authority funded project.
Relevant Qualifications:
Diploma in Training Management, (Institute of Personnel and Development)
TDLB Standards, Units D32, 33 & D36. Up to & including NVQ Level 5
Approved Trainer for the Institute of Management and Supervision
NWRAC Teaching Certificate. Qualified to teach in Further Education Establishments
